I tried a few emails, some from a number I couldnt remember, but all were transferred to an error address. I figured I couldnt use this method, so I tried the recovery pages. I tried the whole cloud and the phone app’recovery’ options. Facebook recovery was by far the easiest, very quick, and no hassle. So, I got that data off FB and imported it to my phone. I then went through my photos on FB and saw what was there, and tried to get a copy of it back off it (I used the photo sync – settings – photo sync). I was able to get back a few unimportant items like old family photos. FB is GREAT for recovering old data you forgot you had. You can find out your friends phone number and what they are up to, their browsing history, etc. You can’t do it for most apps. For instance, if you are a kid, you could probably recover a lot of your old photos, but for your work email you couldnt go through your work emails.

I think I emailed them once or twice. I sent the data to the support and they never responded. I tried to have tech support look at my own data and he told me that they were simulating a real bike and that therefore I couldnt send my own data. I wasnt sure if he meant I cant have it analyzed or if there was something wrong with the unit that I couldnt fix. I called them and said I wanted to have it fixed.

And this for sure is not a scam. In my experience of having more than 200 miles on my neo 2, this has never been a problem. Its not that this is a scam, its just that Ontrack cannot fix the problems without $$ from the customer. If you need a bike that isn’t a real bike, you should have some indication that it might not work for you. This is one that isnt designed for serious riders.

I removed the IC4 but cant find any visible mechanical restrictions preventing its use. The chain pretty much disappears at the front and the back end rotates freely. My intuition is that the IC4 is wearing out, which is pretty ironic as Schwinn said you couldnt use it if it wasnt working. So when it is working, the IC4 is wearing out. I have never worn out a chain, but ive worn out rear derailleur springs on normal bikes, so im game to push the IC4 for a couple hours for data.
Also, did you have to re calibrate the shift light motor? Ive had to do it three times now. Not sure what I did wrong the first time, other than reading the manual. Im not a mechanic, but I just get the feeling that after one or two cycles of riding, it just stops working. I’ll check back in after I get some new pedals and get back to the group rides, which are looking pretty interesting. Ill probably do some of the 24/7 data monitoring next.
And none of those were the problem. As you probably figured out, they wouldnt fix it even though there was plenty of data sent by me for analysis. They just said its something they cant figure out and to send me money in order to get it fixed. It is a scam. I think it sucks worse than my neo2 because it’s totally getting away with it. I wont buy anything from that company again.
I cant test yet, because I just got it. It’s in the process of being shipped to me. I dont have the details, such as back, front, etc. My serial number is in the first 100, and it has none of the problems you described. I have a ’99 neo 3 and a ’99 neo 2 and they are consistent.
