Improve performance for file reading
I am currently reading a file using BufferedReader and BufferedReader.readLine()
The file is not very big (1K-20K), but performance is extremely slow.

I gain speed, but the string is not null (I am parsing it as a xml file and use a boolean)
So I am thinking of just reading entire file into array and then and using.equals()
Is this a good idea or there are other ways to improve file reading performance?
