AutoCAD History and Development
AutoCAD was developed by Microsoft using the UCS (Universal Computing System) operating system and the CAL (CAD Algebraic Language) programming language. UCS was replaced by the Windows NT operating system and the Inventor and other CAL-based programming languages. CAL was replaced by Inventor in the late 1990s.
CAL was designed by Colin M. Banks of Britain’s GEC, the British electrical equipment group. Banks was one of the group’s designers who created the first programmable microchip, the Z80. Banks was also one of the founders of Autodesk. He developed the original UCS operating system and along with two other original UCS programmers, Ron Gansler and John Walker, created CAL, which UCS and AutoCAD use.
AutoCAD, initially called UCS-2, was first released on microcomputers in December 1982 and was an immediate hit. It had the capability to operate on a variety of different types of mainframe computer platforms, including IBM’s System/370 and IBM’s AS/400. The first version of UCS-2 could only operate in 2D graphics mode but was later upgraded to 3D graphics.
At the time of the first version of UCS-2, computer graphics were limited to preprinted 2D graphics that appeared on the screen as each operator typed in commands. UCS-2 was the first CAD program that created actual objects, such as lines, circles, rectangles, and triangles, for use by the operator. Unlike any other product on the market, UCS-2 included the ability to create, view, edit, and save both 2D and 3D views of drawings. It was also the first application of microcomputers to run on an X-Y stage. Using the X-Y stage enabled two operators working in the same room to see the same drawings, as well as enabling them to be oriented in any direction.
By 1985, AutoCAD had become one of Autodesk’s flagship products, and its 3D graphics capability was the largest single technical contribution to UCS-2. AutoCAD was the first commercial CAD program to use line and curve tools and was the first to include a concept of object-oriented drawing.
In the early 1980s, Autodesk initially focused on industrial design and architecture work, which included drafting, engineering and architectural visualization. Autodesk was founded in 1982 by Colin M.

In CADDEM, CADDXF, CADDXF, an Excel-based program which allows creation of complex drawings, was also based on ObjectARX. CADDXF is a multi-user software that allows creation, maintenance and manipulation of simple and complex drawings. It includes features for collaboration, sharing, versioning, consistency checking and reporting.
Today, Autodesk still provides an ObjectARX version of AutoCAD Cracked Version, but allows developers to choose between ObjectARX or AutoLISP. The ObjectARX version was re-released as a freeware download in December 2008, and on 14 December 2011 Autodesk released the program under the terms of the GNU General Public License.

Autodesk ObjectARX is a class library and object-oriented programming language that is used to develop programming extensions to Autodesk’s AutoCAD application. ObjectARX was initially released in 1998 as AutoCAD LISP (Autodesk LISP) and is a derivative of Visual LISP. ObjectARX was later renamed Autodesk ObjectARX and moved to the Autodesk Developer Connection.
