The Houston Bridges of Hope Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that helps homeless families and children. Our vision is to help families rise out of the path of no return, by preventing homelessness, not just for a season, but for life.
What Happens
The Houston Bridges of Hope Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that helps homeless families and children.
I.E.S. – Our Educational Support programs consist of mentoring, tutoring, counseling and enrichment for our incoming Homeless Migrant Youth.
Homeless Migrant Youth – The Houston Bridges of Hope Foundation’s Youth Initiative helps homeless Migrant Youth. Youth who are younger than the age of 18 will be placed in extended foster care until the age of 21. Then the youth will be referred to the Houston Bridges of Hope Foundation where our staff will assist them in finding a job and getting their life back on track.
Residential Care – The Houston Bridges of Hope Foundation has two residential care homes for children who have been abandoned or neglected.
Employment Opportunities – The Houston Bridges of Hope Foundation is also a Job Builder for our homeless families. Our workforce development program offers learning opportunities and employment skills classes for low-income youth as well as unemployed adult clients. This program is geared towards helping clients find employment. We are passionate about helping clients with their education and employment endeavors.
II. Shelter and Housing –The Houston Bridges of Hope Foundation is a Shelter and Housing Agency for homeless families.
Homeless Shelter – We provide family shelter services to homeless families who are entering the Houston Bridges of Hope Foundation’s shelter. At this point, families are not asked to participate in our other services until the situation has settled down and the family is stabilized.
Homeless Housing – The Houston Bridges of Hope Foundation provides rental assistance and property management services for family shelters. Housing assistance is offered to low-income families who are homeless with children or who live in substandard conditions. Our staff assists families in obtaining repairs, supplies, safety modifications, and incidentals in order to renovate a home of their choice.
