The Connection Manager application was developed to be a small tool that will allow the user to automatically switch Internet connections dependent on the time of day/week.
This program runs continuously and can be accessed from the Windows tray. It alters the default internet connection according to the time and day. It is particularly useful for connecting to ISPs which grant freephone numbers for use at weekends and evenings.

Q: This application is about switching Internet connections. Do I need more than one connection to work?
A: No, you do not need more than one connection, you can use your wifi connection or dial-up connection.
Q: Will this application work with other versions of Windows?
A: It has been tested with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. It should work on Windows 8.1 as well.
Q: I tried to configure the connection manager but the application does not work!
A: You can click the I can’t configure button (found on the bottom left) and it will show you what the problem is.
Q: Can I use this program with phone line?
A: Yes. If you are using an ethernet cable to connect your PC to the modem then it should work just fine. If you are using a DSL connection then it is a little bit more tricky. You need to open the Network Connections, select the ethernet connection (not dial-up), connect it and then disconnect the ethernet cable. The program will detect the new ethernet connection and you can configure it to use your default IP address (192.168.1.XXX). Then reconnect the ethernet cable and you are good to go.
Q: I have configured the connection manager and the internet connection seems to work fine.
A: Did you test the dial-up connection? If you have configured the dial-up connection the time settings is not the only thing that should be set to the correct time. The user account should also be set to the correct time as well. You can test this by right clicking on the time on the desktop and selecting adjust date and time. You should be prompted to enter your password (if you have entered it). When you select the correct time, you should be able to open the Connection Manager.

I have a list of dictionaries and want to do a nested list comprehension to get the amount of dictionary-objects.
At the moment it’s working like this:

I want to try to translate this code to a list comprehension but I can’t figure out how to do this. This is what I tried so far:

amount = [ lambda x:x[“amount”] for x in theList]
return amount
But that doesn’t work.

but there’s no point in putting that into a class, as you could have just done
